Luke 1:26-38

38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

Mary's unflinching response to be the mother of Jesus has been recognized as one of the most faithful and obedient answers to the call of God in the bible.

Sometimes we struggle mightily over what we should or should not do. We think we hear the Lord calling us one way but our own selfishness pushes us away or tries to drown out what God is saying to us. And once God's voice breaks through the distractions and noise, we struggle with the answer, when the answer should simply be "I am the Lord's servant. May it be to me as you have said."

Jenny Song...I hope I didn't jump the gun and do it before you...

Okay, new rule: If whoever has been "tagged" to go next does not do so by noon that day, it's open season for whomever wants to do it.

PSH!! You can't make rules as you go! All well...good entry though.

Most of the time, I confuse my voice to God's voice. For example, what do I do after college? I dunno if it's my voice telling me to go to grad school or to find a job...or was it God's? I don't mind the road he chooses for me, but it's the matter of what He wants...does that make sense? I'm blabbering...

I was about to call shenanigans when I initially read the reflection. Jenny doesn't sound like that! "Unflinching response"? "Struggle mightily"? "Once God's voice breaks through"?? And then, alas, I saw Jeff's name at the bottom and I said, "all is right with the world". Haha.

The day Jenny starts talking like that is the day she officially becomes "samonim" status. I'll keep my fingers crossed~
