Yay for Mondays! Let's get this party started...

Today's QT: Psalms 69:29-36
Key verse: I will praise God's name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving. (v. 30)

I like how today's passage begins when the psalmist writes, "I am in pain and distress; may your salvation, O God, protect me. I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving." The key thing to remember is that regardless of our situation, we should be always relying on God, having faith that He will deliver us from whatever situation that we are in. That is how we praise Him and please Him, by turning to Him regardless of circumstance. I am reminded more and more, and something that Christians and non-Christians have a hard time understanding, as believers we are not immune to the pains and trials of this world. We are in an inherently flawed life where hardships are guaranteed. And oftentimes we curse God, blaming Him for putting us in this situation or for not saving us. But He is there to
save us. He HAS saved us. But we fail to recognize and remember He is our savior. I pray that I will open my eyes and see Him for who He is and thank Him and praise Him constantly...

For the rest of the week, we can try a couple different things. We can either "tag" the next person or we can create a lineup of who's going. I kinda like the tag thing, but it's up to you guys. For the people who don't have the book, I will post the verses for each day this week, but I will also make copies for you guys so that I can give them to you tomorrow at cell. Also, I encourage everyone to comment. It doesn't just have to be on the QT, but whatever is on your mind.

CHRIS: "tag", you're up for tomorrow's QT.

Tuesday: Psalms 70:1-5
Wednesday: Psalms 71:1-11
Thursday: Psalms 71:12-24

the whole point of this blog was to reduce clutter, but by posting random stuff on the main page, it clutters the blog instead of our emails.
